One of the super exciting things that happened earlier this year was that my new A is for Arsenic collection called Unholy Ruin was released. I designed this collection in collaboration with my longtime friend and muse Nine Kate of Jane Doe Latex.
Over the past few years you might have seen Nina Kate starring in many of my A is for Arsenic campaigns. Not only is she a stunning model but also an extremely talented designer and being such an ardent fan I’ve worn her designs continually on stage and for many a photoshoot. We became fast friends living in London and over many glasses (or actually bottles) of wine we decided to collaborate on a range of jewellery.
Unholy Ruin was inspired by our mutual love for twisted iconography, skulls and gangster sized gold chain. We wanted to put an occult and macabre yet modern spin on the traditional rosary. The collection features a combination of sleek laser cut acrylic, contrasted with hand made skull chain in tones of ivory and black. The use of some seriously chunky gold chain and the layering of multiple Mr-T style necklace strands makes this a pretty gangster collection!
